Not as hot today, but still hot. Humidity remains high as heat gets turned down to merely seasonably warm over the weekend.

Decently high humidity persists as our afternoon maximum temperatures “cool” into the mid- to upper 80s. If we see rain and cloudiness chances continue to increase, perhaps many of us stay in the mid-80s. Showers and partly cloudy skies are possible; however, the heaviest and perhaps strongest storms may wait until mid- or late afternoon.

Midday and afternoon “everyday” summertime thunderstorms are possible, too. Downpours remain a risk. If sunshine levels stay somewhat muted as it looks now, we may only see high temperatures around 80 to mid-80s. Confidence: MediumEvening storms and downpours are possible. A few rumbles remain into the early morning hours, even if the heaviest and most widespread activity diminishes a bit before midnight. Humid low temperatures may only get down into the mid-60s to low 70s .
