Eduard Sale scored the winning goal in the 14th round, beating goaltender Marcus Gidlof. Jakub Stancl scored two goals in regulation for Czechia, while Michael Hrabal made 32 saves. David Edstrom scored twice for Sweden , and Gidlof stopped 30 shots.
This marks the third consecutive tournament that Czechia has finished on the podium, a feat not achieved since Czechoslovakia's dissolution in 1992
