Record-breaking Cyclone Freddy makes its second landfall in Mozambique, pounding the southern African nation with heavy rains and disrupting transport and telecommunications services
A teenager works on the roof of his house ahead of Storm Freddy, in the Nicoadala district, near Quelimane, in Zambezia.
It was the second time the cyclone has struck the country since it was named after being spotted near Indonesia on February 6. After swirling for 34 days, the weather system is likely to have broken the record for the longest-lasting tropical cyclone. According to the World Meteorological Organization, the previous record was held by a 31-day hurricane in 1994.
