The Cowichan Valley School District says there’s no reason to believe students’ or families’ personal information was compromised after a cyber incident impacted some of its systems and operations, including internet services.“We are currently investigating and taking all steps possible to contain the incident,” SD79 said Tuesday.
In the statement, which was addressed to school communities, it said it was working to restore its systems. “We know that cyber attacks have been increasing not just here, but in fact, it’s a global issue, both in terms of governments and the private sector,” said Farnworth.
