Greater Sudbury goes 4-1 against Espanola in the opening round of the NOJHL playoffs
It took five games for the Greater Sudbury Cubs to dismiss the Espanola Paper Kings from the first round of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League playoffs.
Espanola opened the scoring late in the first after it as Blake Peters-Davey drove to the net and lifted a backhand by Greater Sudbury goalkeeper Noah Metivier at 18:24. Paper Kings’ Spencer Horgan capitalized off a turnover and whipped one in from the slot, after moving in from the point, to tie it up at 2-2.
