Ryan Tepera has been traded from the Chicago Cubs to the Chicago White Sox in a cross-town transaction.
The White Sox are sending left-handed pitching prospect Bailey Horn back to the Cubs in the deal.
Tepera, 33, was one of the most sought-after relief pitchers this trade season. He has a 2.91 ERA and 50 strikeouts in 43 innings with the Cubs this season.received one 10th place vote for National League MVP last season after longtime St. Louis Post-Dispatch writer Rick Hummel accidentally voted for Tepera instead of Nationals star Trea Turner.
