This architectural home in the heart of Toronto's Lawrence Park has hit the market again for roughly $8 million. Here's a look inside of the unique 'Bezier Curve House.'This architectural marvel is nestled right in the heart of Toronto's coveted Lawrence Park neighbourhood and is famously known as the Bezier Curve House.

Jane Zhang, senior vice president of sales for Sotheby's International Realty, explained how the property earned its nickname."The Bezier Curve roof is kind of a structure based on a mathematical formula creating a perfect shaping curve," Zhang said. Zhang says the archietect used"old world techniques" to create the roof's unique shape, where wood joists were pulled to maximum tension to create it. Zhang noted the diamond-shaped zinc shingles are reminiscent of glistening reptile scales. The exterior finish of the home, Zhang notes, also uses high quality brick and wood. This six-bedroom, seven-bathroom home sprawls more than 7,500-square-feet, and features floor-to-ceiling windows and"dramatic, soaring ceilings." Zhang and Cailey Heaps, CEO of Heaps Estrin Real Estate Team, noted the home is located near top public and private schools as well as the Granite Club, which is a private athletic and social club. The home was first listed in 2022 at around $12.9 million, hopping on-and-off the market a few times since. Heaps says the Lawrence Park property is"now priced for market." "There was a decision to explore the market and sort of test the water, so to speak. We are now committed to the selling process," Heaps said. Heaps said the home is an"exceptional offering" on two fronts: for the community that it offers, and for its architectural design."It would be impossible to buy land and build this home for the price at which it's being offered," Heaps said. Though the home's exterior is one of a kind, both Heaps and Zhang noted the property boasts an open-concept layout with a"focus on natural light and flow" . The second level of the home features"generous" bedrooms, including the primary bedroom that has its own ensuite and private dressing room. On top of its curved stairs, the home has an elevator that services all three levels of the property. Outside of its stunning architectural design, Zhang noted this property is unique because it offers a concreate lap pool in the front yard with its own entrance from the front walkway. The front pool serves as an"unparalleled entertainment space," Zhang said, as it"transforms" a traditional front yard into an an elevated social hub. The pools act as a centerpiece to the home's sanctuary-like design, Zhang added. The property also features high-end materials, like Italian granite flooring and black lacquer doors. The home is difficult to experience fully through pictures, Heaps said."When you walk in the house, it is absolutely breathtaking, but very approachable, very warm, you can feel how loved thehouse is," Heaps said.
