Canada’s intelligence agency is warning that extremists could inspire serious violence against the 2SLGBTQI+ community — a threat the Canadian Security Intelligence Service says will almost certainly continue over the coming year.Canada's Integrated Terrorism Assessment Centre was watching out for threats ahead of Pride events last year.

"CSIS assesses that exposure to groups and individuals espousing anti-gender extremist rhetoric could inspire and encourage serious violence against the 2SLGBTQI+ community, or against those who are viewed as supporters of pro-gender ideology policies and events," he said. "There is not a day that goes by that I don't open my computer screen or my television to see something that attacks our community," he said.
