Cruz and other Texas Republicans denounce Trump indictment over mishandled classified docs
Like other defenders, Cruz has not denied that Trump mishandled classified records after leaving office, or hid troves of presidential documents from federal investigators.“The weaponization of our Department of Justice against enemies of the Biden administration will do enormous damage to the rule of law,” CruzDemocrats such as freshman Rep.
The entire Democrat Leviathan has been mobilized against President Trump. The DOJ, the FBI, prosecutors in New York, prosecutors in Georgia, the mainstream media, etc. But we’re going to have a GOP primary?Biden has repeatedly avowed that he has not meddled an iota in any law enforcement matter, including any involving his own family or Trump. No evidence to the contrary has surfaced.
“What the radical Left and the Deep State are doing – this backwards INDICTMENT – is not about truth or justice. It’s about FEAR,” Trump said in one fundraising email. “The fear that if you stand in the way of their Marxist agenda, then YOU could be INDICTED, ARRESTED, or IMPRISONED for your beliefs.”
In red letters Trump continues, “This is nothing but a disgusting act of Election Interference by the ruling party to ELIMINATE its opposition and amass total control over our country.” Some Texas Republicans cast the indictment as a way to deflect attention from purported wrongdoing by Biden and his son, Hunter Biden.
