Crusher Operator operates and maintains various crushing equipment within our operations. This position involves operating an apron feeder, cone crusher, jaw crusher, and several conveyors, while ensuring the safe and efficient processing of ore through the crushing circuit.
The Crusher Operator will be responsible for feeding ore into the crushing system, ensuring proper material sizing, transporting material to a storage bin and area housekeeping.Operate and monitor the apron feeder, cone crusher, jaw crusher, and conveyors.Monitor and adjust the crusher settings to achieve the desired material size and qualityDirect ore from the crushers onto conveyors for transportation to sizing screens.Ensure correct material flow into the ore bin, with proper separation of fine and coarse materials.Perform pre-operational checks on all equipment, including crushers, conveyors, and feeders.Conduct minor troubleshooting and maintenance tasks as required, and report any major issues to maintenance teams.Perform regular cleaning of crushers, conveyors, and surrounding areas to ensure safe and efficient operations.Reporting & Documentation:Communicate effectively with supervisors and maintenance teams regarding equipment malfunctions or any concerns.Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies, including the use of personal protective equipment .Keep equipment clean and well-maintained to minimize downtime and prevent system failures.Maintain accurate records of operations, including system performance, sample results, equipment maintenance, and safety inspections.Perform other related tasks as required to support mill operations and ensure optimal performance of the tailings management systems. Assist with training new employees on system operations, safety procedures, and best practices as needed.High school diploma or equivalent . Previous experience operating crushers, feeders, conveyors, or similar equipment in a mining or aggregate environment.Ability to work in a physically demanding and fast-paced environment.Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations in mining or heavy equipment operations.This position is based in industrial work environment that includes noise, dust and weather conditions. The operator will work in rotating shifts, including weekends and nights, depending on the mill’s operational schedule. Personal protective equipment , including hearing protection, gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots, is required.The physical requirements of this position include reading, walking, standing, sitting, reaching, kneeling, repetitive motions, stooping, balancing, pushing, pulling and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.We wish to thank all applicants for their interest and effort in applying for the position.
