Sixteen-year-old Aidan Crawford of the Quinte Legion Lynx Track and Field club is the new Athletics Ontario U-18 men’s discus champion.
Crawford, who will be in Grade 11 at Eastside Secondary School next month, over-powered 29 other competitors to take the provincial crown with a throw of 46.31 meters.Quinte Legion Lynx teammate Kevin Salaudeen placed fourth in the U-18 men’s triple jump. Six members of the Quinte Lynx will compete next weekend at the Athletics Canada National U16-18 Championships in Sherbrooke, Quebec.
