During a recent interview on the It's Complicated podcast, Craig teased that there may be an unexpected romance and likened it to the recent Vanderpump Rules scandal involving Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss. “We have a pretty crazy season on Southern Charm,” he said during the Wednesday, August 16, episode. “I was like, everyone is going to think we copied Vanderpump, but we … didn’t,” the 34-year-old added.
Who Might Be Involved In Southern Charm’s Relationship Scandal? Craig also went on to confirm that for Southern Charm season 9, they got to share some of the same producers as Vanderpump Rules. "This year, you have that to look forward to with Southern Charm, we navigate some really weird water," he revealed.
"Shep, you’ll see him be in a position he hasn’t been in before. You can see the struggle with [him] opening up," Craig teased. Even though he didn't give away too many details, Craig was definitely alluding to the rumored hook-up between Taylor and Austen. It was even teased in the Southern Charm season 9 trailer when Austen says, “Something happened with me and Taylor.
Southern Charm season 9 is set to premiere on September 14 after more than a year since the previous season aired. Craig, and the new trailer, are promising a lot of drama and opinions from the cast members which will drive even more eyes to the show. Hopefully, this season of Southern Charm is just as intense and wild as Vanderpump Rules season 10.
