A Chicago Police department officer was suspended 100 days for kicking a handcuffed suspect in head and not properly activating his body camera.
A Chicago police officer is facing a 100-day suspension for kicking a handcuffed suspect during an arrest four years ago - actions he later blamed on the "high stress nature of the incident."
After temporarily losing the scooter, the officers spotted the driver going the wrong way on North Lotus Street. The officers tried to stop him again but he collided with garbage cans in an alley and ran off, the report said. The officer acknowledged his actions to COPA investigators and said they "occurred because of the high stress nature of the incident."
