Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott encouraged others to"give grace" after being asked about a photograph of a 14-year-old Jerry Jones in attendance at a desegregation effort in Little Rock, Arkansas, in 1957.
"Obviously we can be more empathetic and give grace to one another, regardless of race," Prescott told reporters. "From the times we've come from to where we are now, thinking about the growth we've had. "As a guy who is completely biracial, Black and white, it's easy for me to speak on race on one side or another."
The Associated Press photo shows the Cowboys owner with a group of white students trying to block Black students from entering North Little Rock High School. Like Jones, who addressed the photograph at length last Thursday, Prescott noted that the photograph is from 65 years ago.
