A significant minority of Canadians, or 29 per cent, said they don\u0027t plan to adjust their behaviour in the face of a seventh COVID\u002D19 wave.
The Angus Reid Institute survey, released Tuesday, found that 68 per cent of Canadians 55 and older are more worried about getting sick compared to 44 per cent for the 35- to 54-year-olds and 43 per cent for 18-to 34-year-olds.
As most provinces and territories loosened or did away with COVID-19 restrictions in recent months, about 46 per cent of Canadians said they still changed their behaviour — skipped out on events, cancelled or delayed travel plans, or cancelled plans with family or friends — because they were worried about catching or spreading the virus.
Men age 18 to 34 and 35 to 54 are least likely to take measures during another COVID-19 wave, with 46 per cent and 43 per cent respectively saying they won’t modify their behaviour.
