Dr. Bonnie Henry and Health Minister Adrian Dix will update the number of COVID-19 cases, deaths and recoveries across the province.Most B.C. students will return to school full-time this fall, under a plan that the provincial health officer says is perfectly safe but which teachers are criticizing as too aggressive and risky.
The split between the teachers and the B.C. government and Dr. Bonnie Henry sowed confusion Wednesday into what had been the much-anticipated release of the province’s back-to-school plan for Sept. 8. Education Minister Rob Fleming said most K-12 students will be organized into “learning groups,” which are consistent groups of staff and students — from 60 to 120 people, depending on the grade — that will stay together during the year for classes, lunch, playground breaks, gym, library visits and any other gatherings.
