At-home COVID tests and appointments at private clinics and sites are becoming hard to find.

Privately run testing sites, including those at CVS, Walgreens and major retailers, may have the longest wait times for people looking to get checked before the new year.in Dallas is Jan. 3. Appointments for a rapid test at CVS locations in Dallas take even longer — until Jan. 5, according to CVS’ website.

At CVS, if you aren’t experiencing COVID-19 symptoms and are testing as a preventive measure, a test can run as much as $139.locations in the Dallas area, appointments are booked up for PCR and rapid tests until Jan. 5, according to Walgreens’ testing site. The company said in a statement last week that it was already experiencing “unprecedented demand for related testing and vaccine services.”
