It is the first full week of new COVID-19 data provided to the public since the provincial government stopped daily reporting on deaths, hospitalizations and case numbers.

“Surgery postponements could also be due to a service disruption or slowdown caused by staffing issues, including illnesses or redeployment to support surge demands,” said John Ash, the SHA emergency operations centre’s incident commander, in a written statement.
