Friends star Courteney Cox has said she didn’t realise how ‘strange’ she began to look after turning to cosmetic injectables and fillers to ‘chase youthfulness’ after finding fame on the beloved sitcom in the 90s.
Speaking about ageing now, the actress said that while ‘there was nothing wrong’ with her upcoming milestone birthday of 60, she simply couldn’t believe she was on the approach after previously struggling to let go of looking like she did during her time on Friends, which ran from 1994-2004.: ‘There was a time when you go, “Oh, I’m changing. I’m looking older.” And I tried to chase that [youthfulness] for years.
And while the Monica Geller star realises there is pressure on actresses to, somehow, miraculously, not age, her own inner critic was always harsher.The star said she knew she had to stop when friends began talking Courteney went on to say that she’s keen to ‘age gracefully’ now, but is still a ‘product whore’ when it comes to beauty.The star, at this month’s Brits, is still a ‘product whore’ She explained: ‘I’m as natural as I can be. I feel better because I look like myself. I think that I now look more like the person that I was. I hope I do. Things are going to change. Everything’s going to drop.
