Coupa Software investor fights possible private equity buyout
Business spending management software provider Coupa Software Inc.'s stock is worth only about a third of what it was a year ago, but one of its big investors is fighting what it says could be a possible lowball private equity buyout.to the San Mateo company's board on Monday that now is not the time to sell.
The potential buyout comes at a time when the value of cloud software companies like Coupa have plunged amid a general pullback on tech stocks. Bessemer Venture Partners' cloud company index stock, which includes Coupa, has lost more than 51.3% of its value in the past year.
