6:17 p.m.: Trump announces Brazil travel ban

The jump gives Brazil the second-highest number of confirmed cases globally, behind only the United States.Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said Sunday there was a"political virus" in the United States, and called on the two world powers to work together to fight the coronavirus."This political virus is using every opportunity to attack and discredit China," Yi said, according to a transcript of the press briefing provided by CCTV.

The cases are linked to the Baptist congregation and health authorities are looking to identify people who may be asked to quarantine to stop further transmission, the health minister for the German state of Hesse, Kai Klose, said in a statement.
