Los Angeles County public health officials reported 1,096 more cases of the coronavirus since Thursday, bringing the total number of cases to 3,694,317 as of Friday, Feb. 17.
Officials reported 17 more deaths linked to the coronavirus since Thursday for a total of 35,545 deaths since tracking began. There were 12 fewer hospitalizations since Thursday, bringing the total number of people hospitalized with coronavirus to 687. According to the California Department of Public Health’s vaccines dashboard, 77% of Los Angeles County is fully vaccinated with 21,445,145 doses administered.
