That’s increasingly important as gigs and jobs have dried up for some effects companies because production on many movies and series has shut down. This has left some studios with virtually no revenue, but a great deal of overhead to service. Not only do they have to pay the rent on workspaces and lease machinery, but they also have to spend tens of thousands of dollars a month on air conditioning just to cool down the hardware.
