2021 Cy Young Award winner Corbin Burnes has gone at least six innings in 17 straight starts

Burnes gave up two runs and four hits with seven strikeouts over 6⅔ innings. Although the Orioles added starters Zach Eflin and Trevor Rogers before the trade deadline, Burnes remains the unquestioned ace of the staff. While the Orioles over the past week sought to upgrade their roster for a playoff run, the last-place Blue Jays made deals with the future in mind. After unloading infielder Justin Turner and reliever Yusei Kikuchi on Monday, Toronto dealt reliever Trevor Richards, infielder Isiah Kiner-Falefa and outfielder Kevin Kiermaier hours before the trade deadline Tuesday.
