New episodes of A&E's 'Live PD' and Paramount Network's 'Cops' have been pulled in the aftermath of George Floyd's killing and subsequent protests about police brutality.
The popular unscripted shows follow the activities of real-life police officers through the use of documentary-style cameras. A&E scratched two new episodes of"Live PD" for Friday and Saturday. Saturday's episode was to be the show's 300th.
The Season 33 premiere of"Cops" is no longer on Paramount Network's Monday schedule, with a repeat of"Ghostbusters" now filling the time slot. Although the new episodes were yanked, reruns titled "Live PD: Police Patrol" aired Friday afternoon on A&E as part of a marathon. Episodes were to stop airing as of 5 p.m. EDT/PDT.
