Joseph S. Bestic Jr. shot himself after Cherry Hill police arrived at a home on Oct. 11, 2022, the New JerseyBestic was pronounced dead at the scene a short time after the 2 p.m. shooting on the 3000 block of Chapel Avenue.
The grand jury reviewed police body-worn camera footage and other evidence, concluding the shot fired by Fox didn’t cause Bestic’s death, the attorney general’s office said. Police were called to the home when someone asked for a well-being check on Bestic.
