Much has happened in Digby since the last proclamation event marking African Heritage Month – a highlight of which has been the opening of an African Nova Scotia Affairs office in Digby in 2022.A Libation ceremony was part of Digby's African Heritage Month proclamation event. CONTRIBUTED “It’s an opportunity to share. It’s an opportunity to learn,” she said, adding as a result of previous proclamation events in Digby, she sees a difference in the community.
He also said it was nice to see art they had created. Having worked before in the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development, he said it reminded him of how they used to take artwork from students across the province and frame it.
