MONCTON, N.B. — Moncton is experiencing a significant construction surge, with 183 permits worth $56.5 million issued in the first quarter of 2024, more than doubling the total permit value over the same period in 2023.
Institutional and governmental infrastructure projects accounted for $2.7 million in permits, including the $ 1.3 million medical clinic renovation at 120 Morton Ave. Significant projects include a $14.7-million warehouse by Greystone Energy Systems on Desbrisay Avenue and a $4.2-million expansion of the Napa Distribution Centre on Edinburgh Drive.
