Construction has started on a new supportive living home, Connect Parksville, in the Parksville area of British Columbia. The 28-unit facility will provide specialized care and services for individuals with brain injuries, including occupational and physiotherapy, speech-language programs, recreational activities, and psychological services. The home, operated by Connect Communities, will offer both short-term and long-term care options and is expected to open in March 2026.

The building will be home to 28 units, 16 of which have been earmarked for Island Health patients, while the other 12 are for “non-Island Health clients.” The facility will also offer medication management and life-skills training, according to the Ministry of Health.
