A conservative attorney made controversial remarks about Donald Trump and the media during a podcast interview.
The conservative attorney joined political commentator Jennifer Rubin for a live-taping of her “Green Room” podcast in New York earlier this month. During the discussion, Conway criticized ABC News. At one point, Conway said he doesn’t think it’s possible for Trump to win a libel judgment, because, “How do you damage that man’s reputation?”He argued that a large chunk of Americans, himself included, could not lower their opinions of the president-elect any further.
“You’ve got a group of people on one side who — you could tell me tomorrow that he shot a bunch of people on Fifth Avenue, and it would not change my opinion of him, because I think he’s the lowest form of life on Earth,” he said. Then, Conway referenced his ex, who served as a senior counselor in Trump’s White House and continues to boost the president-elect as a “And then there’s the other chunk of people who basically will not believe anything bad — or at least admit to it, like my ex-wife — anything bad about Donald Trump, and they won’t admit to it, they pretend not to believe it ... and they watch Fox News and Newsmax and pretend none of the bad stuff actually exists, and it’s all just a giant conspiracy involving half of America,” he said.At the start of their talk, Rubin and Conway joked that they might be punished for their comments about Trump, who has“Later on, I thought we would pass around a tip jar so we could collect money for our libel, you know, defense fund,” Rubin quipped.On Jan. 20, Donald Trump will reclaim the most powerful seat in our nation's government.
