“Anytime anybody goes off on the stretcher, no matter who it is, it’s sickening,” Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid said of the ugly late game injury to Ottawa Senators goaltender Anton Forsberg, which occurred on the final goal of the 6-3 victory. “Obviously, we’re feeling for him. We had him in our camp a couple of years ago and I talked to him a little bit. I’m feeling for him and their team. It’s always tough when something like that happens.

“I was kind of on Chabot right away and was just trying to get the puck back somehow and make a ,” he said of the goal. “I got it back and didn’t like the look I was going to get and I saw him skating up the ice hard and I just tried to find on the backside.”Article content“I saw him when I kind of turned up and then I saw him kind of busting back door and just tried to throw it over there. I think I was lucky. I think Chabot actually played it well and it kind of went through him.
