UConn basketball head coach Dan Hurley calls his team 'bulletproof' after win against Northwestern and before NCAA Sweet 16 game against San Diego State.
Are the UConn Huskies on their way to back-to-back NCAA championships? The No. 1-ranked Huskies feel invincible this year after advancing to the NCAA Sweet 16.After defeating No. 16 Stetson in the first round and then No. 9 Northwestern in the second round, UConn returns to the Sweet 16. Their next scheduled bout in that round: a rematch of last year's March Madness championship game against San Diego State.
'Even with Hurley's constructive criticism that the team could have brought in more rebounds against Northwestern, the Huskies still notched 33 rebounds during the game. Donovan Clingan led the team's efforts with a double-double that included 14 rebounds, 14 points, eight blocks and one assist.And as Hurley says, UConn is dynamic both offensively and defensively. Defensively, the Huskies stifled the Aztecs last time around.
