OC Transpo says a power system problem that shut down a stretch of the line east of the tunnel Wednesday has now been resolved.
The first alert about the problem came around 10:10 a.m., when CBC received reports of busy trains sitting at light rail stations.
During the shutdown, trains were only running between Tunney's Pasture and Rideau stations to the west and between Blair and Hurdman stations to its east.RTM completed a "splice repair" to the overhead power system at Lees station, Amilcar said in the later memo, and also inspected the line to ensure the system could operate safely."This was a complex situation that required our operational response to evolve," Amilcar wrote.
