Anxiety, depression, paranoia, fear of judgement and post traumatic stress were among issues victims described to court
Jonathan Lowe will serve a 12-month conditional sentence in the community for distributing intimate images of two women without their consent.
One of the women was in the courtroom, when Caputo read her victim impact statement, along with the one provided by the other complainant. One of the women indicated she now has been sober for two years after being addicted to opioids and alcohol. Defence lawyer Jessica Belisle said the pre-sentence report shows her client is "extremely remorseful" and intends to abide by the court order.
Lowe said he hopes the victims are able to recover from his actions, citing his remorse, regret, disgust and apology for what had occurred.Belisle said her client should be permitted to serve his sentence in the community.
