Community mourns loss of 2 young people killed in south Edmonton crash
Prayers were held at an Edmonton school on Tuesday, the day after a student there was killed in a horrific crash on the city’s south side.Rahimi attended Queen Elizabeth School. Emergency crews responded to the single-vehicle crash at Calgary Trail near 41 Avenue S.W. at about 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Police said the vehicle, which was being driven by a 16-year-old boy who survived the crash, is believed to have lost control before entering the centre median, striking a culvert and then rolling several times.Two teenagers have died after the vehicle they were travelling in crashed on Calgary Trail, the Edmonton Police Service said Monday night.
