The head of an independent monitoring committee says the group has reached a point where the public will soon hear how its members – including victims’ family members – feel the RCMP and levels of government are doing when it comes to the Mass Casualty Commission’s recommendations.

But what you won’t find in the report is the committee’s response to what progress has been made so far.Progress being made on Mass Casualty Commission recommendations, Oland says Oland said that doesn’t mean committee members haven’t voiced their opinions on the progress being made. But those discussions have remained “confidential to the committee so we can have good discussions.”
“What the committee will do is present what we’ve seen and I think it will be for Nova Scotians and Canadians to decide whether they are satisfied.”When pressed by a reporter if the committee can trust everything that they’re told, Oland said hadn’t even crossed her mind “that they might be, what you are essentially saying, lying to us.”
