Butera is closing its supermarket at 20825 S. LaGrange Road in Frankfort in October.Elgin-based Butera Finer Foods, which reacquired its former supermarket at 20825 S. LaGrange Road in Frankfort in 2018, announced the store would be closing in October.
“They want to enjoy life,” said their son, Stan Jr., explaining why the couple decided to close the restaurant at 10225 S. Harlem Ave. after operating it for 31 years. He and his four sisters had no interest in taking over the business. Bed Bath and Beyond announced six Illinois stores would be among the 150 of its 1,000 stores being closed as the retailer struggles to cut costs and free up cash.The home goods chain posted a list of the first 56 stores that will be shuttered, ranging from stores in Arizona to Washington state. Those stores will start closing soon “and continue over the next few months,” the company said. The company didn’t disclose when it would announce the remaining stores set to close.
