Randolph junior Graham Batey ran for 193 yards and scored all four touchdowns in the Raiders’ 28-24 win at Priceville. Batey ran for three TDs and caught a 31-yard pass in the win as Randolph improved to 6-3 and 6-1 in Class 4A, Region 8.David Lloyd has coached the Raiders to the state playoffs in all four of his seasons leading the program.
Westminster Christian quarterback Brandon Musch finished second in the balloting after throwing for 155 yards and running for 134 with three touchdowns through the air and three on the ground. The 8-1 Wildcats beat New Hope for their eighth straight win. Athens quarterback Brogan Gross was third in the poll after he passed for 349 yards and three touchdowns in a 29-28 win over Fort Payne. The Golden Eagles are 7-2 on the year.
Voting for the Huntsville Football Player of the Week opens on Sundays during the season and runs through Wednesday.
