Colwood responds to brush fire in Fort Rodd Hill area
Witnesses reported seeing ash in the air and a column of smoke rising in the area east of the beach along the water’s edge on what is likely Department of National Defence property near Fort Rodd Hill.
A woman who answered the phone at the Colwood fire department said she was not authorized to provide details, but did confirm firefighters had responded to the call. A Twitter user said the fire department was responding, noting the area of the fire may be difficult to access.
