The Columbus Metropolitan Library's board of trustees announced a resolution for a continuing levy to appear on the November ballot has been approved.
The 1.5 mill levy amounts to $53 for each $100,000 of the appraised value by the Franklin County auditor.
“We committed to Franklin County voters in 2010 that we would not return to them for additional levy funds for a minimum of 10 years,” the library's CEO Patrick Losinski said in a press release Thursday. “Strong fiscal stewardship has stretched that funding 13 years – 30% beyond our promise to voters.
