The Avalanche’s last loss on the road was against the Dallas Stars on March 4, 2023.
With yet another big victory on Tuesday, the Colorado Avalanche have set a new NHL record by winning its 15th consecutive regular season road game in a 7-4 win over the New York Islanders.
The Buffalo Sabres previously had the best road winning streak, winning 14 straight from April 3 until Nov. 13, 2006 – spanning two seasons, just like Colorado. Detroit and Minnesota have the best single-season winning streaks of 12 wins each, with the Avalanche sitting third with the 11 they won at the end of last year.
Ryan Johansen scored twice for the Avalanche, while Mikko Rantanen, Cale Makar, Bowen Byram, Ross Colton and Nathan MacKinnon all found the back of the net, as well. Goaltender Alexandar Georgiev stopped 27 shots as he improved to a .930 save percentage, despite allowing four goals.
