Colin Kaepernick, LeBron James, and other prominent pro athletes demand justice for George Floyd
"I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color. To me, this is bigger than football, and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder." — Colin Kaepernick,Floyd's death is now under investigation by the FBI and state law enforcement authorities.
Tuesday that he had"stayed up all night," wrestling with his decision to fire the officers. On Tuesday evening, hundreds of people gathered at the intersection where Floyd died, protesting the conduct of the officers.
