Richard MacKenzieA lot of us take our general knowledge of our home country for granted – secure in the fact we know enough. But some general facts about Canada have changed – evolved – over the years and that makes the’s new three-session workshop an attractive and interesting option for many.
“While working on the high school prep curriculum , we canvassed some of our community partners and discovered there was a general interest,” Teed said of the workshop which will take place Tuesday Feb. 28, Monday March 6, and Tuesday March 7.“We worked with the Local Immigration and Newcomers Group to learn more about the challenges people from away are facing when learning about Canada,” Teed said.
“Especially those of us who didn’t appreciate history, geography and general citizenship while in the school system,” she said.
