Vancouver’s first homicide victim of 2020 was Jesus Cristobal-Esteban, a 62-year-old Guatemalan immigrant who lived on the city’s east side. Mr. Cristobal-Esteban died in hospital Saturday after being beaten up in Oppenheimer Park, which contains a large homeless encampment.
