Coastal Carolina backup quarterback Bryce Carpenter was arrested in South Carolina on Sunday on a third-degree assault and battery charge and suspended from the team.
The 23-year-old was accused of slamming a woman to the ground when she allegedly refused his sexual advances, according toHe was charged with third-degree assault and battery. He was released on a $2,500 bond the same day.
Carpenter was at a party when he allegedly tried to grab a woman but was pulled away from her by other partygoers, according to WBTW-TV. The woman reportedly tried to talk to Carpenter again, but he allegedly made another advance.
