Close call on Highway 17 leads to warning for a trucker

IGNACE — Provincial police issued a warning to a truck driver on the weekend after receiving a complaint about how a tractor-trailer was being operated on Highway 17.Video posted on the Facebook page of Hwy 11/17 Kills People shows a tractor-trailer rounding a curve on the highway while it's completely in the oncoming traffic lane.

The driver turned back into his own lane just before meeting four other vehicles coming from the opposite direction, including another tractor-trailer. An OPP spokesperson said members of the Ignace detachment responded to a complaint and conducted a traffic stop.
