The Orchestra announced the concert will take place at 7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15, and that free tickets will be released Saturday, Jan. 7.
CLEVELAND, Ohio – It’s that time of year again. Time to plan for the Cleveland Orchestra’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Concert.
The program at Severance Music Center will feature music by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, Florence Price, and William Dawson as well as Copland’s “A Lincoln Portrait” and a variety of spirituals and other traditional pieces. Also participating, as narrators, will be Peter Lawson Jones and bass Soloman Howard.
Those who do not or cannot attend the concert in person will be able to hear it live on WCLV-FM 90.3, WKSU-FM 89.7, or
