Climate change has been an abiding concern of city residents.
Cleveland Heights City Council on Aug. 21 confirmed Mayor Kahlil Seren's appointment of Danny Williams as the new city administrator. Williams, a longtime Cleveland Heights resident, will be sworn in immediately before the Sept. 5 council meetingCLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio -- Mayor Kahlil Seren outlined plans Monday for the Climate Action Team he’s assembling to develop a resiliency plan for the city.
“Cleveland Heights needs a Climate Action and Resiliency Plan to guide us in reducing our impact on the environment, protecting the health of our residents, and preparing for the impact climate change will have on our city,” Seren said in a press release.and contract with the California-based consultant now goes to council’s Municipal Services and Environmental Sustainability Committee for further discussion.
“Nutter has the right balance of technical ability and community engagement strategy that was key to their selection,” Boateng noted in the press release. “Their knowledge of the unique geographic context of Cleveland Heights was also a key factor that distinguished them.
