CLEVELAND, Ohio — The first weekend of October is full of fun events in Cleveland. The calendar is packed with spooky Halloween-themed events, live performances, and themed parties.
Those wine drinkers who are looking to update their knowledge of Spanish variations of the libation should check out Market Avenue Wine Bar on Thursday, Oct. 5. In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, the wine bar will celebrate with six tastings of wine paired with light appetizers. Tickets $35. Akron Civic Theater will present the Tony Award-winning “Sweeney Todd” throughout the weekend. Several showings will be presented by the Millennial Theatre Project throughout the month of October. Tickets $20-$25“Broad City” star Ilana Glazer brings her signature style of comedy to The Agora on Friday.
Jesse McCartney is coming to Center Stage at MGM Northfield Park for the Jam for the Cure benefit concert. The “Beautiful Soul” singer will perform songs in honor of the American Cancer Society’s MSABC campaign’s 30th anniversary. Tickets $39-$130
