The Clay County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team is on scene of a home in the Doctors Lake area this morning.
It is not related to last night’s AMBER Alert and the ongoing search for a suspect who abducted his 8-month-old baby.
Sheriff Michelle Cook tells Jacksonville’s Morning News that residents in the Forest Glenn community called early this morning about shots being fired by a man.SWAT and hostage negotiators arrived on scene and are negotiating his safe surrender. The sheriff believes the man is alone inside the house.
Surrounding neighbors have been evacuated voluntarily and have relocated to St. Johns River State College.355 College Dr. Media personnel are to park along the fence line of the parking lot one of the parking spaces.
